Square Meal Review of Jamie Oliver's Diner ?

Unstoppable Jamie Oliver strikes again – this time with a zany pop-up diner not far from Piccadilly Circus. With help from eco-chef Arthur Potts Dawson and artist Jay Jay Burridge, he has created a funky space filled with kid-friendly artworks, sculptures and even mock-up dinosaurs. The emphasis is on healthy, sustainable ingredients and fun, with flavours from all over the planet and dishes ranging from steaks and salads to savoury waffles backed by hero condiments such as ketchups, BBQ sauces and Piccadilly piccalilli. There’s also room for a ‘doghouse’ dispensing artisan hot dogs with all the trimmings, plus a line-up of on-trend drinks – think London-brewed beers, old-fashioned cordials and fro-yo shakes. Also expect music and resident DJs in due course. Note that this is primarily a take-out joint, with a few tables dotted around.

  1. On my birthday last year after eating out a place in Camden Town. My friend and I decided to head to central London for desserts. We decided to go to Jamie Oliver’s pop up diner that’s taken over Adam Ribs in Piccadilly Circus. Decked out to look like an American diner, with an army dinosaurs that can be found all over the site. At the time we were told the pop up would be around for a year, looking at reviews I can see it’s now extended for 3...

Samphire and Salsify :: Jamie Oliver’s Diner

In the heart of tourist land (Piccadilly) above a souvenir shop and where those blokes draw caricatures of people, sits Jamie Oliver’s latest venture. It’s a three year pop-up (if such a thing exists) which attempts to serve up everything that is popular right now; burgers, chicken in a basket, ribs, pulled pork and there’s even a flat iron steak on the menu...

  3. I have read a lot of mixed reviews for Jamie Oliver’s Diner, the celebrity chef’s newest, shiniest ‘pop up’ restaurant in central London. Situated at Piccadilly Circus on the corner of Shaftesbury Avenue, it’s a bona-fide tourist trap and pretty much guaranteed to draw the crowds and make a mint...
