Originally set up by Huzeyin Ozer (of Sofra and Ozer fame), this Exmouth Market eatery continues to rustle up a mixed bag of pan-Mediterranean dishes with strong Italian and Middle Eastern overtones. A varied list of hot and cold mezze is the main attraction – think tabbouleh, tarama, saksuka (aubergines in garlicky tomato sauce) and sesame chicken skewers – but the kitchen also offers a big selection of grills, kebabs and mains ranging from spicy fish stew to spaghetti bolognese. There’s a noticeable fondness for ‘healthy eating’, light dishes and salads too (perhaps chicken with toasted almonds, pickle cucumber and sweet mustard dressing). For afters, choose between baklava and tiramisu. Set deals, theatre menus and express lunches offer the best value, and there’s a decent choice of wines to wash it all down.
