Square Meal Review of Outlaw's at The Capital ?

The toast of Cornwall, seafood chef extraordinaire Nathan Outlaw took a punt transferring his seaside charms into the blue-blooded, air-conditioned environs of the Capital hotel in 2012 but, with a greater emphasis on fine-dining, the traction is now starting to build – especially as the food “caters to both the adventurous and conservative palate”. Bare tables bring a touch of modernity to the heavy drapery and oversized chandeliers, although Outlaw’s masterful way with fish makes you forget the somewhat “stuffy” surroundings. Every element has its “moment of glory” in standout dishes such as lightly cured mackerel with apple and beetroot or a robust slab of turbot with crispy oysters, gutsy cabbage and bacon, while the likes of lamb saddle and belly with aubergine, anchovy and tarragon should sate the meat-loving brigade. The hotel’s cellars add some stellar wines to this emerging Michelin-starred big hitter.

    Nomface :: Outlaw

    Outlaws at The Capital Hotel in Knightsbridge opened at the start of the year and has already been awarded its first Michelin star. Chef Nathan Outlaw holds two stars at his flagship restaurant in Rock, Cornwall, famous for his seafood cuisine. Being lovers of fish we had high hopes for his London venture. After an eventful trip filled with tube delays and cancellations we arrived a little flustered. We were soon seated and settled down with the menus and a snack of possibly the best fish cakes we've ever tasted...

    Food and other matters of interest :: Outlaw

    Nathan Outlaw is a young British chef who’s made quite a name for himself as one of the country’s leading seafood specialists. Having learned his trade under the great seafood man Rick Stein, he earned 2 Michelin stars at his first restaurant in Devon. His first London restaurant opened earlier this year at the Capital Hotel in Knightsbridge, tucked away on quiet Basil Street just around the corner from Harrods...

    londonfoodaholic :: REVIEW: Outlaw

    Nathan is known for having some of the best and freshest seafood in Cornwall. With him being such a huge success it was only time till he came to London, along with everyone else. He’s now taken over the restaurant at the Capital Hotel in prestigious Knightsbridge. I've been meaning to try it since it opened but only got round to it now. It has a very attractive selling point too, its set-menu...
