Square Meal Review of Honest Burgers ?

Cosy, no-frills, independently minded Honest Burgers has gone down a storm in Brixton Village, and its two energetic young owners have now planted their cut-price offer in the middle of Soho. The quality of HB's custom-built patties – made with 35-day-aged beef (from The Ginger Pig) and served on a glazed brioche bun with triple-cooked, skin-on chips and rosemary salt – explains its growing reputation as one of the best joints of its kind in town. Free-range chicken and veggie versions are also available, and the fact that prices peak at just £9 is a bonus. No bookings, but the queues move quickly and it's worth knowing that the place is now licensed – if you fancy a Sam Smith's organic lager, a Hendrick's G&T with cucumber or a carafe of Sussex rosé.

YUMMEI :: Honest Burger - Soho - London

I found Honest Burger's second branch hidden away in the side streets of Soho, the original Honest Burger joint is in Brixton. You know if a restaurant is located opposite flats harbouring signs like this... you have totally hit the jackpot...

World Wide Food :: Best Hamburgers in London? Honest Burgers

Looking for a really good Hamburger in London? Try Honest Burgers, in Soho. So far, it’s the best I’ve tried in the City. To eat in this little and gracious bistro you need to be patient. You will probably need to queue for an hour before sitting at your table...

  4. With only 2 days and 6 hours and 30 minutes to go until I can eat meat again (yes, I'm counting the minutes too), I thought I'd hit up Veggie Burger #4 from Brixton and Soho burger stalwart - Honest Burgers. Honest Burger's veggie fritter is composed of a cauliflour, sweetcorn, shallots, coriander, onion-bhaji style 'patty', fried until dark brown and crunchy and sandwiched between two sides of a toasted Honest Burgers bun and filled with chopped lettuce underneath and a cucumber yoghurt topping. It comes with a decent portion of rosemary salted fries...

The Perfect Trough :: Honest Burgers (Soho)

Honest Burgers is much as you would guess, a simple place which knocks out very decent burgers with little fuss. Their Soho outlet is their second after Brixton, and believe it or not, the side street location is rather calm – both in comparison to Brixton Village and also for the environs of Soho itself. It even features some outdoor seating...

samphire and salsify :: Honest Burgers Soho

Honest Burgers have bravely ventured out from Brixton and opened their second restaurant in Mead Street in Soho (a 15 second walk from Burger and Lobster) and adds to London’s ever growing burger scene. You could easily walk past this restaurant as the outside is very plain – as is the interior. White walls with wooden tables and chairs didn’t make us want to spend all day in there but the atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were really friendly. The door was left open for our entire visit meaning we sat with our coats firmly zipped up...

Fd Over LDN :: Honestly, what you know about burgers internet?

Another burger restaurant has ventured into the murky depths of central London. Honest burger have expanded their successful Brixton home to Mead St. just off Dean Street, right near to Burger & Lobster. With MeatLiquor / Market, B&L, Tommi's burger joint, Slider Bar, not to mention those mini burgers at Opera Tavern, and a new Byron Burger popping up seemingly every month, all within walking distance; is the demand for burgers going to be saturated soon? It sure doesn't seem that way...

  8. I vary rarely venture south of the river, and with home being Essex the original Brixton Honest Burgers had eluded me for some time and then somehow I have had the privilege of eating from their two restaurants in just over a week. Last Sunday I had a take away from Brixton Village, and today eating at their newish Soho location...
