Red-blooded men with a taste for Lady Grey can hold their heads (and their pinkies) up high at the Reform Social & Grill, where tea is definitely not just for the girls. This clubby venue does two versions – the ‘vintage’ and the ‘gentleman’s’, both £26.50 and both with a ‘best of British’ theme. The latter is gloriously butch, with hand-raised pork pie and mini Wagyu burgers heading the savoury selection, sticky toffee pudding and apple pie among the ‘fancies’, and a Lagavulin whisky cocktail served alongside the cup that cheers. The ‘vintage’ tea – presumably for guys and gals – includes retro cakes (Battenberg, Black Forest etc) and a ’50 shades of Earl Grey’ cocktail, while the fine leaf-tea selection features the Mandeville’s special blend, Jing Darjeeling or blackcurrant and hibiscus.
