Situated above the Centre Point Food Store (actually across the road from the architectural edifice itself), this little café – sometimes known as Hana – is exactly what is required if you fancy combining a foodie shopping trip with some Japanese nibbles. Perch up at the bar and watch the knife-wielding action, park yourself on a banquette or take advantage of the discreet booths if something more intimate is required. All manner of fresh sushi are served on wooden boards, along with sashimi and a few cooked dishes such as gyoza dumplings, grilled eel and tempura. Bento boxes are just the ticket if you can’t make up your mind, and green tea is the drink of choice.
