Yet another addition to the capital's stampede of steakhouses, the Gaslight Grill offers Edwardian-style surroundings and a menu of grilled British meats supplemented by sauces and dips. How about rib-eye on the bone with smoky Bowmore whiskey sauce, or venison with pineapple marmalade? The full menu also runs from potted Sussex crab with garlic butter, via smoked chilli and orange duck breast with sweet potatoes to sticky toffee pudding. In addition to its grilled grub, the Gaslight also features a dedicated ‘gin palace’ offering home-infused varieties, craft gins, bathtub gins and the real London stuff. If ‘geneva’ isn’t your thing, check out the vast bar’s stock of revivalist British ales.
