Drawings of porkers, chickens, salmon & the like are dotted throughout the menu, which spans everything from Rosary goats’ cheese brûlée with apple & candied walnut salad to Francis Coulson’s iconic ‘icky sticky toffee pudding’ (made famous at Sharrow Bay in the Lake District). In between, expect prime cuts of Romney Marsh lamb, Middle White pork &, above all, 21-day aged West Country beef – perhaps a pavé of rump with triple-cooked chips & paprika onion rings, a bone-in rib-eye for two, or even a snazzy burger with foie gras & truffles.
