La Perla is probably not somewhere to take your parents: it’s all about the party spirit, fuelled by the very best in 100% fermented & distilled agave (ie Tequila). The huge selection includes youthful versions as well as those aged in barrels of French oak, & staff are only too happy to make suggestions. Sipping a pure shot is what’s advised to truly appreciate the spirit’s distinct flavour, but if that’s too much, there’s also a host of classic & fruity margaritas (by the pitcher, if you wish). Follow with a cold cerveza & a plate of punchy Tex-Mex grub: smoked-chicken nachos, surf & turf fajitas or ever-popular chilli con carne. Related to Covent Garden’s Café Pacifico.
