Bill Collison’s ‘produce’ roadshow just keeps on rolling, & he recently announced that he is bringing his wares to north London with the imminent launch of a new outlet in Islington. Like its elder offshoot in Covent Garden, this ‘store’ will be a funky, eco-friendly mix of food market, deli & all-day eatery built on seasonal British produce. Other outlets dish up trendy breakfasts, a daytime assortment of fish-finger sandwiches, colourful salads, mezze plates & suchlike, plus more filling plates of cottage pie, char-grilled chorizo in a brioche bun with skin-in chops, seafood chowder & Thai green curry, with warm chocolate brownies & pavlova to finish. It’s likely this venue will follow suit, backing everything up with fresh juices, beers & a handful of wines.
