Café Plum

Following on from the success of their long-standing Fulham site, the team behind Plum Café opened this second branch three years ago. Located opposite Riverside Studios, it’s a buzzy spot perfect for a lazy breakfast or quick-fix lunch. Blackboards scrawled with endless sandwich & bagel options adorn the walls, well-thumbed newspapers abound & the constant hiss of the coffee machine competes with the nattering of local mums. Start the day with a superbly sourced full English – a snip at £6.75 – or perhaps a stack of pancakes with bacon & syrup. For lunch, there are myriad types of toasted sandwiches & a few heartier options; the likes of lamb burger with sautéed potatoes or chicken Stroganoff won’t cost much more than a fiver. Affable, prompt service adds to the appeal.
