Formerly Al Dar, Lebanese café/restaurant Falamanki has had a facelift & seems keen on making the most of its prime location in the heart of High Street Kensington. Fresh salads, juicy grilled meats & other Lebanese standbys are all there for the taking, along with soft, freshly baked bread, spicy sauces & zingy accompaniments on the side. Bench seating is buried beneath brightly coloured cushions while mosaic tiles ring the upstairs dining room, which is dominated by a huge window looking down on the shoppers & tourists below. Bread is baked in an oven by the front door, & sticky Lebanese pastries are temptingly laid out in cabinets at the back. Falamanki also offers a home delivery service for people living in the neighbourhood.
