Set close to Smithfield Market it combines an oenophile emporium with a traditional ‘enoteca’ offering various tavolozze (sharing platters of cured meats & cheeses), salads, & hefty bruschettone loaded with anything from Taleggio & speck to grilled vegetables – plus a couple of hot ‘al forno’ dishes & a few dolci (cantucci biscuits, fruit salad, creamy sfogliatina or lemon custard tart with pine kernels). V&V also lays on post-work aperitivi – little plates of robiola cheese, mortadella sausage, green olives, topped crostini & homemade croûtons spread with Ligurian pesto to go with glasses from the fascinating, 60-bin regional wine list.
