Touting glamour on a budget, this barnstorming mini chain from the brains behind the Goodman steakhouse group has become a ‘must-try' for London's ever-curious foodies. Each venue delivers exactly what it promises, with a chalkboard menu advertising just three items: meaty burgers served with extra cheese and bacon, juicy steamed or char-grilled lobster, and buttery lobster rolls in toasted brioche with a lick of wasabi mayo – each costing £20 (‘a bargain', with chips and salad thrown in). The best advice: go with a couple of friends, order the whole lot and share the spoils – although the burgers in particular can be underwhelming, given the price tag. Service is quick and polished, while the setting is a cool mix of wood panelling, bare brickwork and close-packed tables, with some desirable red leather banquettes thrown in. You can book, but there are always queues anyway.
