Covent Garden simply can’t get enough of the headline-grabbing Icecreamists, & this second branch peddles the same sexy, risqué stuff as its sibling on Maiden Lane. Their Baby Gaga (the first-ever breast-milk ice cream) survived the scandal & the furore surrounding its launch, although it’s now called Baby Googoo (to placate the rock goddess & her lawyers, no doubt). Other hot licks from an ever-evolving repertoire might include ‘choc & awe’ (a zany mix of chocolate & water), ‘sex bomb’ (packed with ‘Brazilian stimulants’), ‘apocalypse chow’ & ‘Miss Whiplash’ (a berry sorbetto laced with raspberry vodka). And then there are creations like the ‘inflammatory’ Molotoffee, which fuse cocktail mixology with gastronomy & ice cream-ology.
