Del Boy wouldn’t recognise the arty neighbourhood around Bellenden Road, with its independent bookstore, chi-chi interiors shop & now a cool, minimalist-design café-deli. Anderson & Co’s short, Med-inflected menu & fine cakes attract local artists, professionals & stylish mums. Start your day with scrambled eggs topped with paprika-spiked chorizo, or a healthy dose of granola, Turkish yoghurt & fresh berries. Lunchtime salads include inventive combinations such as smoked mackerel with herb-packed green couscous, or shredded chicken with three types of rice, chilli, coriander & mint. Don’t miss the courgette cake with lime curd, one of a selection made here each day. Liquid refreshment comes from Square Mile coffee, Tea Pig teas & fresh juices. The doors open for dinner on Wednesdays (when it’s BYOB) & occasional ‘guest chef’ evenings.
