Fez Mangal

The first indication that Fez Mangal is a cut above the fast-food joints clustered around Ladbroke Grove tube comes from the tasteful strings of dried chillis hanging in the window, closely followed by the inviting waft of char-grilled meat &, strangely, the photos of famous fans including Boris Johnson & Orlando Bloom. Shish, adana & yoghurt-coated kebabs are on display near the entrance, alongside whole fish, marinated lamb chops & herb-packed salads. Beyond the counter, a charcoal grill is the hub of the operation. Find a space at one of the tables & wait while the cooks perform their magic, turning simply prepared meat & seafood into succulent dishes with a subtle, smoky flavour.
