Terrible

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. I visited the Asian restaurant with my sister on 26th May. The service was sub standard to start with and we had to ask multiple times for soya sauce and cutlery. The starters and sushi I have to say were decent, however the main course, which included tiger prawns and chilean sea bass, were terrible. However worse over, I contracted awful food poisoning, and after making a complaint the following day and being assured my matter would be looked into and I would be appropriately compensated, I have heard nothing since. This is despite multiple phone calls and repeat emails to the managers. Each time I am sympathetically spoken to and reassured someone will revert back to me within 24 hours, however it has now been 2 weeks since.
I think this is appalling customer service for what was a very expensive and below average meal. I will not be visiting this restaurant ever again.

I have been here of numerous occassions for drinks, but last night was the first time i have dinned here. we chose the japanese restaurant, service was very slow to start, i think we sat for 20 minutes before someone came and took our order. The menu is vast, sashimi selection was excellent and extremely fresh as was the chillie squid really very good. Maki rolls are not quite up there with zuma's, dim sum was excellent and full of flavour. we opted for salomon for main and steak and scallops which were overcooked and rubbery., both were average and nothing special. desserts selection were very good indeed especially the green tea mouse , superb. If you can get past the Pretentious staff and stuck up russian and middle east clientel ,then this is the place for you, but prepare to take a big hit to your wallet, my goodness this place makes zuma look cheap! Would i go again, probably but only for a very special occasion. id probably stick to zuma or dinings.

I've been to the likes of nobu, nozomi, hakkasan, Zuma, China tang, kai, giglamesh etc. I love fine dining and I'm constantly looking for the best asian cuisine in london! This is by far the best! The sushi is amazing and the duck fried rice is to die for! I went there for a girls night out and it was heavenly; good crowd, beautiful decor, attentive staff etc. Although the wine list is a little pricey. would definitely go back!

"TERRIBLE TALL SLIM UNPLEASANT HEAD CHEF NOVIKOV ITALIAN"

Me and my friends decided to go to Novikov Italian restaurant for a meal we had a starter which was fantastic then we had t/bone steak which was dreadful extremely tough and no taste, my friend had veal she also did not enjoy it as had exactly the same problem as the T/bone so we could not eat it so we asked one of the waiters to call us the Head chef after about 10 minutes the waiter returns to our table saying that the head chef is extremely busy and could not attend our table but the funny thing was that he was standing looking at us which made us extremely frustrated so we said to the waiter to call us another chef because this is extremely disgusting and unprofessional as we have been to Novikov many months ago and I can guaranty you that the food quality i.e. meat has drastically changed, so the waiter brought another chef to our table if I remember correctly his name was Charmello quite a big guy but he was very polite, extremely helpful, and knows how to smile unlike the other one, getting back to the point he really tried to provide us with another dish which we then decided to change, so we had fillet of beef which I can definitely say it was delicious.
I think that the head chef should try to learn how to SMILE and deal with customers even under pressure, because if he carries on working for Novikov it will definitely affect other customers, customers go to eat at such a wonderful place like Novikov to have a pleasant meal and enjoy the atmosphere.

Dined in an Italian room. The menu had a great variety of different meats, as well as vegetarian options. Wine cellar offered a wide range of wines from around the world. The food was very tasty. The atmosphere in the restaurant was extremely pleasant, tables located at a reasonable length from each other which provided an opportunity for a private conversation as well as group dinner. Very friendly staff. There is a cosy bar downstairs which gives an opportunity to have a few after dinner drinks, although the bar may be quite crowded on the weekend nights.

It was only my third visit to Novikov since its inception as one of the destination venues on Berkeley Street, the previous visits being to each of its separate Italian and Asian areas. And although those first two visits had been inopportune for different and individual reasons, the Italian being bland and the Asian being overly flavoured rather than authentic, they were a while ago and sufficiently in the distant past that they did not prevent me from booking for lunch again.

I was glad therefore to find on this occasion that the dim sum and various other dishes including bok choi and tom yum soup were quite tasty and rather authentic, so much so it made me pause to think back as to why I should have had any lesser impression previously. The restaurant was also less crowded this time and the warmth of the fairly modern decor seemed well balanced, whilst the waiters were helpful, un-intrusive and unhurried.

Being almost directly opposite our current office, I will certainly venture another visit to give the Italian part another chance, and hopefully to find that I will need to pause once more and address my previous and erroneous impression of that part of Novikov too.

We popped in for a drink after dinner at Hakkasan last night as I'd heard the bar was a bit more lively, especially later on in the week. We arrived about 9.30pm and the place was buzzing – very new money, as in a lot of money, but it's not stuck up – it's fun, lively and everyone is very comfortable in each others company.
We headed downstairs to the bar. Good music, loud enough to bop to. The bar staff were some of the best I've come across in London, fab cocktails, friendly, happy to suggest things to try. I ordered a passion fruit and chilli martini – the lady went to the kitchen to find me a chilli as they didn't have any behind the bar. One of the other bar tenders must've seen me trying and failing to eat some of the passion fruit with my straw (classy), and the next thing i know, on the bar arrives a new passion fruit, halfed, balanced on a shot glass full of ice with a little spoon and a napkin for me. Simple things – utterly charming.
So Hear Yee expensive London bars – we don't mind spending the money if you just get it right!! Definitely worth a visit.

I must have been one of the happy few who hadn't heard about this place and when my friend suggested we met there I thought why not. I should have checked some reviews beforehand. I arrived early and the staff nicely settled me at the bar where I ordered a vodka. I quickly felt slightly underdressed. A simple black dress was simply a little too simple for the floor length gown (yes really) sported by some of the woman wandering around.
My friend arrived and he left our coats at the cloakroom with the attendant asking us in a not-so-welcoming-tone if we had a booking. Maybe it was to put us in Russian mood, despite having picked the Italian side of the restaurant.
The room downstairs felt rather large and noisy (not buzzy). We ordered, twice. The waiter managed to switch our starters after asking what I wanted. I wanted the fish, he gave me the meat. We laughed it off. The wine we picked unknown to us both wasn't cheap and wasn't that good. The food was hearty, the portions were MASSIVE and the price above average.
I think this is a case of it's not you, it's me, I don't like you Novikov, you're too bling no substance for me.

I had a fantastic meal at Novikov Italian and it was wonderful, I do not know how people can be so unfair and write horrible reviews me and my partner ordered a T-bone steak and a lamb chops, I can say that in all my life I have never eaten such magnificent meat, it was so tasty and extremely tender there is nothing else I can say but well done novikov and I hope the quality will remain the same and I will defenetly be returning again and introducing all my friends to Novikov.

Dined at the Italian restaurant. Very busy and buzzy. Nice environment but poor sound system.
The food was good and the service quick. Not a place to relax but a place to see and be seen!
Rather expensive.
