Aces & Eights

The trend for US drinking holes has reached the outpost of Tufnell Park, where this saloon-style outfit has set-up shop in a former bank. Aces & Eights comes complete with jukebox, deep-boothed seating, & posters of pin-up girls & rock gods lining the walls. Bottled beers include Brooklyn Lager, Blue Moon & Goose Island IPA; cocktails are of the old fashioned & Manhattan ilk; & there’s a buxom selection of whiskies & bourbons. Sustenance comes courtesy of independent pizzeria Il Bacio – the crisp-bottomed bases (12-inch or 16-inch) piled high with meaty toppings such as chorizo & Parma ham.
