Part of London’s new Mexican brigade, Benito’s Hat sells just-made burritos, tacos & salads straight from the counter. If you’re eating in, grab a window seat or alfresco spot (weather permitting) & watch the world go by. Ignore the back-to-basics plastic baskets & focus on the well-sourced ingredients & punchy flavours. Aside from a daily soup, there are just three ‘meal’ options – a burrito, a couple of soft tortilla wraps & a salad, which are available with vegetables, pork, chicken or steak; after that, simply decide on your toppings – sour cream, salsa, beans, rice, or any combo in between. It’s fairly priced & perfect for a speedy getaway, so grab a drink & a couple of sides (tortilla chips & dips, say), before sloping off into the sunset.
