Redhook does a fairly convincing impression of a New York seafood & steakhouse that’s somehow crash-landed next to Farringdon Tube. Abstract art bears down on customers sitting at the booth-style tables, while exposed brickwork & stylish light fittings help give the dining room a distinctly Manhattan drawl. The menu doesn’t pull any punches – Canadian lobster, shrimp tempura & flame-grilled giant prawns vie for attention with British & American steaks, with current reports suggesting that seafood wins the day. There’s also a ‘surf & turf’ option if you can’t decide between the two, plus salads to allay fears of missing your five a day. If you fancy yourself as Farringdon’s answer to Carrie Bradshaw, spend your money on cocktails or tipples from the pan-American wine list at the swanky bar.

Tuck & Vine :: Stripped Back at Redhook
Sunday's service at Redhook snagged many a palate and was no doubt responsible for mass conversion for any who may have been agnostic about the simple, pared down and raw offerings which have so quickly come to characterise Spalding's style at Stripped Back...
