Square Meal Review of Harry's Bar ?

Upper-crust City suits have taken this younger version of Harry’s in Abchurch Yard to their hearts, & it’s not hard to see why. Pale colours, frosted glass & a touch of mid-century modernism create an elegantly ‘airy’ setting that’s perfect for latter-day Mad Men (& women), whether they’re scoffing on garganelli with rabbit ragù & 350g US-fed rib-eye steaks from the Euro-themed menu or loosening ties in the downstairs cocktail bar – where guest DJs liven up proceedings from Wednesday onwards. The bartenders muddle classic bellinis & more modish creations including the 20th century (Tanqueray gin, Lillet Blanc, chocolate liqueur & lemon juice), while the wine list scales the heights of Bordeaux grandeur but also accommodates more affordable glugging. Service is ‘efficient’ & the sunny internal courtyard is a delightful surprise.

Despite opening last year, I still had never managed to make it to Harry's bar until today. What a huge departure from it's sister restaurant in Cannon Street. This branch of Harry's is light and airy, extremely modern and minimal in decor. The food is also really good and the service is very efficient. I also saw large platters of food being whisked past me for a group of bar patrons. Yummy looking lettuce cups filled with what looked like Hoisin duck, crisp tempura squid and prawns and other goodies. All delicious. Shall definitely be going back for another meal soon!
