Two-wheelers double as art, & the venue hosts workshops as well as various bike-related events. Watch Lycra-encased thighs pedalling furiously as all the latest Euro racing is beamed in live, or bypass the action & make a beeline for the pretty courtyard – something of a rarity hereabouts. To drink, perhaps a glass of reasonably priced Chardonnay, a bottle of lager or a smoothie – for those in charge of their own set of drop handlebars. Solid fuel comes in the form of sandwiches, savouries & pastries. True to the spirit of Boris Johnson’s London, staff will fix brakes & wheels while owners have a caffeine fix before getting back in the saddle.
