Little sibling of Camino, Bar Pepito is a quiet, quaint spot where sherry aficionados come for a tipple. The tiny room is full of faithful touches (note the beautiful floor tiles), but it’s the food & drink that really impress. The menu is grounded in affordable tapas & every plate has its own recommended sip: sample pickled white asparagus with a glass of ultra-dry manzanilla or pork scratchings with a nutty amontillado; alternatively, slices of hand-carved jamón ibérico might be teamed with equally classic Tío Pepe fino, while the heavier, maple-influenced flavours of two different Olorosos are the perfect match for creamy ewe’s cheese. To finish, try a chocolate timbale, accompanied by the dense molasses notes of Pedro Ximénez. Smiling staff are happy to help novices with their orders.
