A glass counter filled with exquisite cocoa-based creations & perfect pastries stretches the length of the shop, where approachable staff are happy to explain unusual flavours such as yuzu, tarragon & mustard or Muscovado caramel. Tables & chairs are dotted around, or you can park up at the dessert bar, watch the pastry chefs at work & order from a three-course menu that might lead off with poached mango with orange & yoghurt ice cream, ahead of assorted pain perdu or plum slices in star-anise sauce, with petits fours to round things off.
