After a hard day at the office or an intensive shopping workout, Aqua Spirit’s circular Blade Runner-esque bar is a useful docking station for batteries in need of a recharge – Veuve Clicquot Champagne at £14.50 per flute takes care of that. Secure a perch in one of the kimono silk-lined booths and order cocktails inspired by Japan and Spain (the gastronomic reference points for Aqua’s two restaurants). Try Kyoto breeze (Tanqueray gin, elderflower and dry sherry served long with apple and cranberry juices), bloody gazpacho or señorita caliente – an orange-based Ketel One vodka hottie worth considering. However, Aqua Spirit’s real draw is its one-off wraparound terrace and rooftop alfresco bar: expect throngs on warm summer evenings.
