Formerly The Agricultural on Islington’s Chapel Market, this unfussy neighbourhood bar is the latest in a rash of venues dedicated to live blues & jazz with the occasional country twang. Iconic guitars aside, the interior is low key & intimate, putting the focus firmly on the venue's raison d'être, with live performances featuring budding talents most nights of the week. There are also occasional open-mic slots & stand-up comedians. To drink, order mid-priced cocktails (make it an Old Fashioned for the sake of authenticity), unpretentious vino from £11 or Deuchars IPA, Magners & Becks from a selection of hand-pulled & bottled brews – with a bourbon chaser if you fancy yourself as a true Dixie chick. Burgers, ribs & similar Americana are served until 8pm.
