Square Meal Review of Bake-a-boo ?

One of the many neighbourhood joints to have cashed in on the cupcake craze of recent years, Bake-a-boo is a pastel-painted paradise for cake lovers. Book in advance for Boo’s afternoon tea, which offers a cornucopia of finger sandwiches, scones laden with clotted cream, & unlimited pots of English Breakfast. At other times of the day, local mums & their nippers tuck in to immaculately iced fudge, vanilla or Oreo cupcakes, passion-fruit drizzle cake or berry crumble slices. Gluten-free, sugar-free & dairy-free options are available. At lunchtime, soups & salads are on hand, before you embark on the sugar rush. This is a popular spot for hen dos & children’s parties, but the Bake-a-boo team can also organise knitting, make-up or cake-decorating workshops.

I live near here and pop in all the time on Saturday afternoons for coffee and fairy cakes. They are honestly the best I've ever eaten, and beat the Hummingbird Bakery hands down! What bake-a-boo it lacks in variety and sophistication it makes up for in tasty baking and kitsch. I love that there are magazines available and feel that I can while away a couple of very pleasant hours here. Go soon before the prices go up and it becomes overly commercial. The kids will love it too.
