The Foyer at Claridge's

A motley crew of princes, politicians, pop stars & A-listers mingles with the tourists & tea buffs in Claridge’s glittering Foyer. Located on the ground floor of the hotel, it’s a gloriously decadent art-deco jewel crowned by a stupendous Dale Chihuly silver-white light sculpture assembled from more than 800 hand-blown glass pieces. A pianist plays as the throngs relish one of the finest afternoon spreads in the capital – a cavalcade of delights including dainty finger sandwiches, raisin & apple scones with Claridge’s exclusive tea-infused jam & Devon clotted cream, cakes & pastries of every description, plus a connoisseur’s choice of 30 different teas from around the world. Light meals & cocktails are also available throughout the day. The adjoining Reading Room offers similar pleasures in a setting of cut-marble fireplaces, suede walls & lush leather columns.
