Run by a charming husband & wife team, Nuraghe is a humble, honest & homely place that oozes rustic appeal. What’s more, the food is a knockout: not just the crisp-bottomed pizzas, but everything from platters of cured meats to calf’s liver in balsamic. Try the delightful Sardinian specialities: cassola (a rich tomato & saffron fish stew), malloreddus (little twists of homemade pasta) with spiced sausage, or culurgiones (ravioli) filled with ricotta, spinach & orange zest. Finish with tiramisu or pannacotta & drink Sardinian wine (the list may be short but the wine perfectly matches the food). Wallet-friendly bills are simply the icing on the cake.
