Square Meal Review of MeLoveSushi Swiss Cottage ?

MeLoveSushi could be setting itself up for a fall with that suggestive name, but this mini-chain of straightforward sushi hangouts deserves to feel the love. At its best, the freshly made & finely executed morsels are worthy of far swankier tables. Crispy duck hand rolls, asparagus maki, spicy tuna gunkan & inside-out tempura rolls are good choices, & the specials selection is well worth a look too (try black cod in miso or white tuna with jalapeño & ponzu for something Nobu-esque on a shoestring). But sushi isn’t the only thing to love about MeLoveSushi. The bars in the Swiss Cottage & Chelsea outlets get the thumbs-up for well-made cocktails – from classic bellini & old fashioned to crazy-sounding ‘spicy samurai’ featuring passion fruit, red chillis, shochu & apple juice.

Casual dining restaurant that always serves fresh sushi & sashimi and delicious hot meals. The best thing about melovesushi is the cocktail bar upstairs! They have an extensive cocktail list and all drinks are made to perfection!

I generally have a lovely meal at MeLove Sushi. Tonight I decided to go by and order a takeaway. I waited over 30mins for a miso soup and veggie gyoza. During that time three people who came in after me and ordered takeaway had come and gone. When I asked where my order was one of the servers shrugged and smiled. When the fourth person came in and ordered and left with their order, I mentioned that it was a bit ridiculous given the size of my order. Out of nowhere a man who I can only assume was the manager came tearing in from the kitchen raising his voice telling me that the kitchen was very busy and that it wasn't their fault and that I can have my money back if I want. I opted for my money while one staff member tried to maintain a level of decorum and helpfulness telling me that my order was now close to being ready. I still opted for my money.

I suggest that they look for managers who can handle client interface in a calm and tactful manner. Clients don't like to be yelled at for asking where their order is. Stay away from ordering in person and opt to order on line or over the phone to avoid the wrath of management and lethargic and semi-helpfulstaff. I came home feeling battered and put off MeLoveSushi all together…

The sushi i have had here has always been really good. There is a good range to choose from and staff are helpful if you have never tried sushi before. They also have a range of noodle and rice dishes to choose from, which are also good and very filling if your feeling hungry.

It's a fun place to visit with a lively feel , quick service and excellent food. It is one of my five favourite places to eat and offers good value for money for a London restuarant

This place is cool, the food is always excellent and atmosphere is always buzzing.

I like most of the things on the menu, the noodle and rice bowls are good value as there really filling. Good to have before a night out.

The sushi is good too, i like the salmon or prawn ones, i didn't think i would like the ones with the seaweed on them but i was surprised it was really good. The chicken wings are good too.

Def give it a go if you like sushi.

The food here is really very good. It is reasonably priced for London restuarants and i always have trouble deciding what to choose as i want everything.

My favourites which i keep going back to are the dumplings, the small seaweed rolls with crab stick and the beef noodles. I like having the noodles here because you can choose what noodles you want (thick or thin ones) rather that getting what your given like in other places.

I've recommended it to my friends and taken my boyfriend and mum now and everyone loves it too! Even poeple that are wary of sushi. The staff are very good at helping out people that haven't tried sushi before.

I fact writing this review has made me hungry!

After spending a day in London, me and my other half were starving cos we hadn't eaten all day. We stumbled upon the Swiss Cottage restuarant and decided to give it a go, as we both love Asain food.

Cos we hadn't eaten all day we both decided on a noodle dish and sushi, i had the chicken noodles and prawn and avocado hosomaki and my other half had the duck noodles with the tuna nigiri. Everything was excellent and was freshly prepared, we both left the restuarant feeling full.

The staff were also friendly and helpful.

I like to stay in shape, and Sushi is a great option. Their salads are always fresh, and I like their dressings. If I am looking for something more filling, then I'll have some sushi too, which I love, and is really nice here. I was a bit wary to go into a sushi place, but my teenage daughter is a vegetarian so this was a good option for us. We popped in around lunchtime on Saturday and it was pretty busy. There was actually a lot that both of us could eat. She had some kind of veggie tofu pouch (which she raved about) and some cream cheese and cucumber rolls. We also shared some vegetable tempura, which was really nice and surprisingly filling.

Sushi makes a nice change from fatty fast food or the standard British food from most pubs, and the whole way of eating (choosing at the counter and watching it be prepared) made it a fun experience for me and my daughter.

If you have never been to a sushi place before, it is not just cold raw fish. There is loads to choose from on the Me Love Sushi, with hot noodles and rice dishes. Most of it is pretty healthy too, which was nice for me as I normally have to stick to ‘boring’ options when we go out to eat.

The restaurant is bright and cheerful and clean, which again is nice change from some of the dingy pubs and bars that we usually lunch at when we are out for a days shopping. It's also really close to the Swiss Cottage tube station, so it is convenient to get to.

I have eaten a few times so far at this Me Love Sushi restaurant, and have always had a nice meal. I had eaten from their Take Away locations before, so I was already familiar with the food and this location offers even more choices.

Whether you enjoy traditional cold Sushi dishes, or are in the mood for a hot, spicy bowl of rice or noodles, this restaurant caters for all tastes.

Me Love Sushi is a bright and cheerful dining experience, without the garishness and tacky nature of some other ‘gimmicky’ restaurants.

I love their king prawns, which are always a generous size, and their tempura batter is light, crisp, and perfectly seasoned.

I visited this little restaurant recently and I loved it! Their selection is huge, and covers hot and cold dishes, nigiri, rolls, skewers and noodle meals too.

We had a selection of Sashimi and rolls, and let me tell you that if you have only ever had that packaged sushi from places like Marks and Spencers, then you don't know what you are missing. This is the real deal, and the flavours and freshness are so much better. Everything is prepared to order, so it actually couldn't be much fresher! The portions are also generous too – really good value for money.

The only thing that I wasn't keen on was the fact that you order at the counter when you first arrive, before sitting at your table. There are so many dishes to choose from and they all looked amazing, so we ended up ordering way more than we could eat because we couldn't decide. The staff were nice enough to offer to package the left overs for us to take home in a doggy bag though, which we did and thoroughly enjoyed them for lunch the next day.
