Named after the little bug-shaped Fiat 500 car, this local Italian parked at the Archway end of Holloway Road is almost as diminutive as its namesake – & just as likely to make you smile. New opening hours mean the restaurant is closed Monday to Thursday lunchtimes, but during the evenings & at weekends savvy foodies squeeze themselves on to its snugly packed tables (be sure to book). Prices are pitched down the middle of the road for generous platefuls of fat pasta parcels filled with provola cheese & mint, or rich, fennel-spiked sausage ragù with homemade gnocchi. Main courses are equally alluring: spanking-fresh sea bream with pine nuts, capers, anchovies & orange, for instance. Round things off with a sinful chocolate mousse with cherries in syrup. Service is warm & low key, with staff happy to guide you through a varied & appealing list of Italian wines.
