Square Meal review of The Distillers: ? Write your review

With its long window drapes, crystal chandeliers & ceiling roses, The Distillers may put on a grand face, but the decor is too ostentatious to be truly classy. Aside from the overstated interior design, this former bank is a pleasant enough spot for an after-work drink, thanks to its high ceilings & large windows looking onto Smithfield. The wine list covers a wide range of prices, stretching up to £90 for a bottle of full-bodied Château Musar. Alternatively, opt for a ‘tall & slender’ mojito with seasonal berries. To eat, there’s a spread of options, from rib-eye steak or wasabi-crusted salmon to wild mushroom risotto. The New York-style cheesecake is recommended. The Velvet Room – a flock-wallpapered space on the first floor – can be hired for business meetings & comes equipped with free Wi-Fi & plasma screens.

Well i thought the food Was Great The Deuchars Braised Rabbit I had And The MedIteranean Frittata For My Girlfriend both gave us a treat to remember

Karla Served us Very Well Although a bit morosely

great selection of draught beer and live music on so we stayed there for the whole night in the end, but we had a great and very well priced bottle of NZ sauvignon Blanc with our meal.

they are open for breakfast too aparently so i will be back there again soon with my laptop to use their free wi fi instead of paying for it at some well known "coffee"shops
