Tendido Cuatro

The big buzz & bold Spanish colours are clear markers that this new eatery is the latest contender to join the ranks of Old Brompton Road’s successful Iberian restaurants. Tendido Cuatro’s food is more tapas than big eats & sits on the familiar end of the scale, with char-grilled white asparagus from Navarra & cheeses from Galicia preceding meatballs (grandma style, no less) & the famous fried pimientos of Padron. Those with more adventurous appetites could also try the stewed lamb shoulder with onions & tomatoes or sausage & soft cheese rolls doused with honey. Wines cannot fail to please & there’s invariably something out of the ordinary among the perfectly picked Spanish grapes. A full night out can become pricey, but easy service helps to compensate.
