This glitzy take on the all-American dining experience certainly looks the part, with exposed brickwork, a glass frontage hung with industrial-looking filament bulbs, neon signs & tongue-in-cheek pig motifs. A few dollars more have also been lavished on the stained glass, pig-related wall hanging, the huge mirror advertising a list of never-changing dishes, & the long stars-&-stripes bar. However, that’s about as good as it gets, judging from recent feedback: staff are diffident, the place regularly seems deserted & the whole sad show is often ‘beyond disappointing’. Only a few unwary tourists can still be seen gingerly donning plastic bibs for the lamentable array of potato skins, ‘truly terrible’ baby back ribs, steaks, chicken wings & other US staples.
