Square Meal review of Bartique:
Bartique is a chic new cocktail lounge adding yet more drinking options to the Chelsea end of Fulham Road. The interior has a stylish boutique feel with comfortable banquettes strewn with cushions lining the walls & low brown leather-clad tables, while there’s plenty of room for mingling alongside the white bar. Cocktails & spirits are the main draw, with friendly bartenders serving up decent versions of classics such as the Martinez, alongside signature drinks including the Tique (gin, apple schnapps, pomegranate liqueur, apple juice & tamarind purée). A short selection of Champagne & wine (listed by grape variety) completes the picture. Elegant nibbles consist of sushi, sashimi & tempura, prepared to perfection by a Japanese restaurant down the road. Although very quiet on the early-week night we visited, we’re expecting the Chelsea set to adopt it as a pre-club haunt – it’s likely given owner Mike Filipi was behind the launch of nearby Boujis.
