Someone was clearly working hard behind the kitchen door as Yauatcha received a Michelin star within a year of its opening a decade ago. The self-defined ‘casual-dining dim sum teahouse’ doesn’t
have a private dining room, but hire out the lower-ground floor and you’ll get space for 115 guests to sit down and enjoy the modern dim sum – from pan-fried turnip cakes to chicken feet in chilli
black bean sauce – as well as wok-friendly dishes and other small eats. The ground floor can do exactly the same for parties of up to 75 people, while smaller groups can take over the bar area for
stand-up receptions. The cocktail-heavy drinks menu adds a fun element to parties.
