About

The concept behind Kelp Restaurant is to bring a taste of Scotland’s best and most sustainably sourced sea food to Glasgow’s Table.

Sourcing unique and artisan products from the Highlands and Islands is of great importance to us. So please, sit back and enjoy a dram or tuck into some of Scotland’s best offerings from Barra to Ardnamurchan.

Kelp are large brown algae/ seaweeds, despite its appearance, kelp is not a plant and like our name sake, we are more than we appear. Although we are a predominantly sea food restaurant, we also have a diverse and versatile menu which caters to any dietary needs.

We pride ourselves on sourcing the freshest most sustainable produce Scotland has to offer. Nearly each distinct type of sea food on our menu comes from a different location in Scotland to ensure the best possible produce. From our Trout netted in Tobermory to our Langoustines caught off the shore of Skye all our sea food is sourced responsibly.

Our first visit but definitely not our last. Wonderful service and friendly, warm atmosphere! The food is amazing and a 3 course meal up until 530 ( just taking your table before 530) is £25 so great value for a special Christmas meal!
