Kalimera is a Greek fusion restaurant located in Crouch End, London. Close to many local shops, cafes and attractions, Kalimera is a light, bright and contemporary restaurant serving a Greek menu of dinner, drinks and takeaway. Many of the ingredients used at Kalimera have been sourced directly from Laconia, paired with many local suppliers and producers to create a modern take on traditional Greek food.
If you’re visiting for dinner perhaps you will kick things off with some house olives and basil tzatziki served with marinated cucumbers and toasted walnuts. Other starters include a vegetarian chickpea salad served with sun dried tomatoes and a basil dressing, and a pistachio pan fried feta served in crispy filo with honey and baba ganoush. Man
Main dishes may include the Soivlaki platter, here you can choose between chicken or halloumi skewers, accompanied by salads, baby potatoes, dill tzatziki, spicy hummus and pitta. There is also a house moussaka made with slow cooked beef and lamb ragu, and a pan fried sea bass dish served with broccoli, anchovies and lemon.
Traditional desserts include portokalopita which is an orange sponge cake served with ice cream, and Louiza’s mosaiko which is a chocolate and biscuit cake served with pistachio ice cream and chocolate sauce.
Kalimera has two sister restaurants located in Paris and Lille. The restaurant menu celebrates the endless culinary possibilities that modern Greek food has to offer, restaurant founder Télémaque Argyriou wishes for Kalimera to be the face of modern Greece. The restaurant also operates a gourmet food truck which travels all over London, serving authentic Greek dishes 7 days a week. More recently the Kalimera food truck has taken a permanent residency at Mercato Metropolitano food court, where you will be warmly greeted by members of the Kalimera team.
