The Prince Regent takes its influences from the Georgian period, and is decorated just as beautifully as you’d expect inside. The decor is bright and modern, making for a relaxed setting that overlooks the garden. The menu is packed with modern British dishes and classic family favourites, all finished off with mouthwatering desserts. As part of a hotel, breakfast consists of a help yourself buffet, with a variety of delicious continental and cooked dishes.
Starters include sticky pork belly bites with Asian Slaw and Korean BBQ sauce, some panko breaded king prawns with a chipotle mayo dip, and loaded nachos with cheese sauce, sour cream, guacamole, salsa and jalapenos. There are also plenty of refreshing starters to try, including the beetroot, feta and orange salad with gem lettuce, toasted walnuts and a honey and mustard dressing, and some harissa hummus with sun blushed tomatoes, chilli oil and grilled flatbread.
All burgers are served in a brioche bun with mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato and red onion and crispy fries, and you can choose from gourmet prime beef, bacon rarebit, buttermilk chicken, Korean chicken and beetroot, pepper and quinoa patty fillings. Main plates include the crispy battered fillet, chips, garden peas and tartar sauce, and a chicken makhani curry with basmati rice, garlic and coriander naan bread, poppadoms and mango chutney. If you want something a bit lighter, opt for one of the hot sandwiches, served with either crispy fries or a mug of freshly prepared tomato and basil soup. Choose from the club sandwich, a crispy breaded chicken option, and a ham and cheese melt. Desserts include the warm treacle and ginger tart with vanilla clotted cream ice cream and caramel sauce, and an apple and blackberry crumble with creamy custard.
