We booked here for Christmas Day
sadly it has ruined our Christmas
the hotel was dirty, glass outside and cigarette packets- the toilets were dirty and smelt of urine
they didn't have our order despite it being prebooked.
We were placed in the bar next to tables of oeie
getting drunk and shouting and under a speaker so couldn't hear each other speak.
My started didn't come even after they cleared away my husbands. I had to ask for it. Both starters were poor, sliced white bread with the soup that had ends curled up, cheap sliced cheese on top of microwaved potato.
Main meal was a carvery, we were told to go and get it ourselves and were expected to bring it back through a busy bar where we could've been knocked or spilt over us. Paid extra for a steak but told the menu was wrong.
We choose to leave after the starter and have complained to simply be offered a free meal! Why on earth would we want to return.
this wasn't just any day - it was Christmas Day something we've looked forward to all year -'and we couldn't just go somewhere else! So no Christmas dinner for us it has spoilt our Christmas and the company won't refund us
