Until 12 August, City venue The Brewery has transformed itself into pop-up members’ club The Retreat to coincide with the London Olympics. The temporary space has been split into six areas, to
include restaurants, bars, a chill-out area, a cinema and even a beauty salon. The main eating venues can be found at the high-ceilinged, flag-festooned Great British Diner, where executive chef
Tom Gore serves lunch, dinner and afternoon tea. Day members can finish their meal with drinks in the venue’s informal bar area, which is screening the Games, while evening entertainment comes in
the form of a stylish club lounge courtesy of Soho nightclub Movida. Day membership starts at £294.
