Spice 45 restaurant in the village of Dunton Bassett practically encapsulates English history from the coming of the railroads to its present-day multicultural glory. Built in 1905 as a pub and
hotel for railway workers and travellers, the pub operated as the Railway until the closing of the line. It then became the Merrie Monk, a traditional village pub, until recently when it was
transformed into Spice 45, an Indian restaurant. The menu features all your favourite dishes and classics from around the subcontinent accompanied by a well-chosen drinks list, served in a stylish
and relaxed atmosphere. The go-getting staff couldn’t be bettered.
