The guys behind Burger and Lobster are back with a bang. Smack is their latest tasty offering nestled down Binney Street, a small side street between Bond Street tube and Selfridges. Its a simple concept, lobster rolls take out or eat in.The decor is also as simple, a room upstairs for those munching quickly on the run. Venture downstairs for an atmosphere that invites you to spend more time eating, though the bar stool and wooden counter furniture is still the same...

You’ve got to hand it to the people behind Burger & lobster – they like crustaceans and they want you to be able to have them in some form no matter your budget. They went uber high-end with Beast and now they’ve gone the other way with Smack Deli where you can pop in for a lobster roll for £8. Add some courgette fries to that and you won’t top £12 (compare to their £20 for lobster roll and chips and you see how reasonable this is). It’s also really tasty. Smack Deli is the one that away from the mainstream chain Burger & Lobster. In favour of all things lobster, it was the only thing I ever ordered at Burger and Lobster. They set up a home by Bond Street, Mayfair at Binnery Street. The menu is short with 4 different lobster rolls, whole lobster and sides. The menu did seem different to the one on the website as I did not see lobster chowder when I visited. Prices are currently £7.50 for take-out and £9 to eat in for the lobster rolls, a whole lobster £10/£12...

The 3rd November 2014 opening of Smack Deli was an anticipated one, starting with a 50% soft launch, it had everybody at its feet. The sister of the Burger and Lobster chain opened by the Goodman group sells 4 different types of lobsters rolls, and other lobster related dishes. Their ‘fast food fine dining‘ concept has been a unique one, with not many (if any) similar to Smack Deli...

Smack Lobster is one of the newer restaurants from the Goodman Group – the guys who can’t seem to do anything wrong in ‘restauranting’ (aside from being the front runners in driving the extinction of Lobster with their growing chains). Aside from that, I just ADORE every one of their creations, including Burger & Lobster, Rex & Mariano and Beast Restaurant. At Smack Lobster, they’re managing to serve up sublime chunks of lobster in fluffy rolls with funky recipes packed with deliciousness, all for little more than a double...
