Ply is a Neapolitan restaurant and bar located in the Northern Quarter of Manchester on the corner of Lever Street and Stevenson Square. The restaurant is contemporary and lively, serving a menu of wood-fired pizza, craft beers, fine wine and cocktails. Ply is open weekdays from 9am til 10pm, with later opening hours at the weekend. Ply has a light modern industrial look, with a mix of high tables and stools, and low wooden tables and window seats.
Ply is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Plus, light nibbles, pastries, coffee and cocktails. If you’re vising Ply for breakfast you will find plenty of favourites on the menu including a fry-up made with mushroom, tomato, bacon and sausage, all served for the very reasonable price of just £5.00 during the week. (Prices may vary during different time periods). You may also find eggs benedict on the menu made with toasted muffins and thick-cut ham, plus fresh coffee and tea.
The menu is fresh and vibrant in appearance, with starters such as the deep fried crispy prawns served with 2 dips and the just-baked cheesy garlic bread to share – fresh from the wood fired pizza oven.
Other dishes include comforting favourites such as spaghetti carbonara, and a mushroom tagliatelle served with wild mushroom sauce and truffle. The pizzas look equally as indulgent with wood fired house specials on the menu such as the mortadella and pistachio, the classic pepperoni and their newest plant-based pizza.
If you’re looking for dessert you will often find a selection of Italian pastries on the menu, with favoruites on offer such as the kinderella doughnuts and the pistachio cronuts. Other sweets include filled cannoli and a classic tiramisu.
