Squaremeal Review of Mussel Men ?

Of the innumerable acts that appear at the Edinburgh Festival, there are a handful every year that are so successful that they have a bigger future. This venture, which started in a garage feeding shellfish to festivalgoers sitting at trestle tables, has ‘made it’ to such an extent that it now has a permanent home in London. On the menu you’ll find not only the little black critters but oysters and langoustine from Mr Mussel Man’s family farm, chowder and bouillabaisse, salads and carpaccios. It’s a pescavore’s dream. If it all seems just a tad camp, remember where it came from – there’s more than a touch of tongue in cheek.
