formula: traditional southern Italian cooking in cosy trattoria surroundings. The venue’s eponymous buffalo mozzarella, burrata and ricotta are produced at Made in Italy’s Battersea kitchen and
dominate the early stages of a meal here, appearing on platters loaded with caponata, cured meats or fine home-baked breads. The group’s trademark chequered tablecloths and trailing vines may have
been swapped for a more contemporary vinoteca look (think bare brickwork and stripped wood), but the Corsaro family’s open-armed approach to hospitality remains – rustic homemade pastas and
straightforward char-grills arrive amid a shower of black pepper, parmesan and hearty ‘buon appetitos’. Save room for the legendary Ferrero Rocher cake if you can.
Whoa! Was my Friday night dinner at Mozzarella & More the best restaurant meal I’ve had this year? Maybe. And the other places that I can think of offering a dining experience of similarly high calibre all cost way more than twice as much as my meal...
