Florian Frey and Azadeh Falakshahi moved from the Black Forest to Brighton in 2005, bought a travelling sausage trailer and toured the festivals before setting up shop in this colourful, pint-sized
joint next door to Charing Cross Station. ‘Out wurst is ze best’ is their slogan, and you can drop in to buy, eat at the counter or take away from a list that includes bratwurst, bockwurst, smoky
pork, chilli beef and currywurst – chopped up in a box and slathered with homemade tomato and curry sauce. All are gluten free and can be eaten with low-fat fries, potato salad or sauerkraut
(unless you fancy a traditional roll). The owners also do their own baking, so you can pick up croissants, brezels (pretzels) and sandwiches too. As for drinks, coffee, juices and Fritz Kola fit
the bill.
