Eateries come & go, but more than two decades down the line, unreconstructed Galicia continues to thrive by staying true to its roots. From the sunny yellow walls & mahogany panelling to
the gruff but accommodating waiters, little has changed over the years, including many of the customers. A clutch of devoted (mostly Spanish) regulars can be found sipping beer & putting the
world to rights at the marble-topped bar, while Notting Hill residents congregate in the corridor-like dining room to feast on cheap tapas from an inventory including chorizo in red wine, prawns
ajillo or Galician-style octopus with paprika. More substantial grilled fish & meat dishes are also on offer, but most stick to small plates or the great-value set lunch (£8.50 for three
courses plus coffee).
