If you’ve got it, The St Martin’s Lane Hotel’s bar is where to flaunt it. This sister to The Mondrian and The Sanderson has a ‘secret’ door behind its lobby’s tea counter, which swings open to reveal a gilded closet with oddly lumpen furniture. Head barman Andy Loudon’s cocktail list is inspired by ‘the flavours of the ancient tea trade’. Cue a glittering clientele of Jimmy Choo shoe-d babes in bodycon dresses, who come to sip Tequila, nettle and peppermint-tea Fizz, or a black-tea vodka, Aperol and Chambord Sour. British colonial-style snacks provide the nourishment – more likely to be consumed by the hedge-fund whizzes and owners of Lamborghini Aventadors who doubtless pick up the tab for the evenings. Effervescent with bling bubbles, Blind Spot is where to bender it like The Beckhams.
